All resident data is securely stored in cloud-based environments. We use Amazon Web Services (AWS), a global leader in secure cloud infrastructure. In line with GDPR requirements, all data is hosted within the EU. 

We employ industry-leading security measures, including full AES-256 encryption for data stored in the cloud and during transmission. Access to data is strictly controlled and granted only to authorised users with valid login credentials, as approved by end users. 

Who Controls the Data 

Elder Guard acts solely as a data processor under Article 28 of the GDPR. We do not own or control the data entered into our systems. Data ownership remains with care providers, who are classified as data controllers under GDPR. 

Are we GDPR Compliance? 

Yes, we fully comply with the requirements set out under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data protection and privacy are built into our systems, processes, and daily operations to ensure personal information is handled lawfully, securely, and transparently.As part of our commitment to GDPR compliance, we support and require our partners—who act as data controllers—to carry out Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) where applicable. This helps identify and minimise any potential risks associated with the processing of personal data, ensuring the highest standards of protection for all individuals involved.
